More Reviews Are In!

Hello everybody!

We’re getting feedback hot and fast allowing us to do things like fix the Karn fight (previously it was possible to glitch outside his arena. Not anymore)! We’re tightening the screws to make the game as fun as it can be.

We’ve enjoyed reading reviews from Steam Curators and from players. This one came all the way from China’s “The Voice of Games:”

“This game is a top-down action–puzzle title starring a rabbit as the main character. Players take on the role of Helmer, a young warrior rabbit trying to escape from danger. Helmer can perform basic movement and jumping, and can use his sword for light attacks, heavy attacks, thrusts, and jump strikes, as well as energy-consuming skills like a dash-pierce and whirlwind slash. The game features a substantial amount of maze-style puzzle content, with combat playing a more secondary role. Some of the maze designs capture the essence of Souls-like compact, looping environments, with shortcuts and interconnected paths. The biggest drawback for now is the lack of official Chinese language support — hopefully it will be added in the future.”

Thanks for playing, “Voice of Games!” I understand your frustration about the language support. We’re a small group, but who knows what the future holds?

Author S.D. Smith recently had a great conversation with Britt Mayer to discuss the motivations that undergird Green Ember: Helmer in the Dragon Tomb. You can watch that interview here.

Mac Users: Having Saving Issues?

A few Mac players have reported that after installing Update 3, their saved games were no longer showing up when launching the game. The good news: the saves are still on the machine — macOS simply created a new application container during the update, causing the game to look in the wrong folder. Get the full information on the fix right here.

Until next time!
